Terms of Access for the National License Archive
Opt-in Institution register for the SP Service by following a registration process managed by the Service
Provider or a third party. Thereby the joining institutions acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of
this agreement, especially the permitted uses and restrictions for their Users as follows:
1. Permitted Uses.
You are permitted to print or download reasonable portions of the Licensed Information for your own
educational purposes. You may, in connection with your educational purposes, on an occasional and irregular
basis, provide insubstantial portions of the Licensed Information to non authorized users or in scholarly works,
articles, memoranda, reports and presentations provided that (i) these insubstantial portions are only made
available in print or by secure electronic means to a limited number of individuals and (ii) you must include
copyright notices from EIU and the Publishers and original source attribution whenever providing any portions
of the Licensed Information to any other persons.
Any use of text and data mining (“TDM”) or artificial intelligence tools, products or software (“AI”) in respect of the Licensed Information shall be pursuant to statutory rights for such use under German and EU law only and any use of TDM or AI except Statutory Use must be agreed in writing with EIU.

2. Prohibited Uses
Except as expressly permitted in Section 1, you may not, directly or indirectly, allow any other person to use or
share your user name or password, or to allow an unauthorized user to have access to the Information. Except as
expressly permitted in Section 1, you may not (i) reproduce or store in or transmit to any other web site,
newsgroup, mailing list, electronic bulletin board, local area or wide area network or regularly or systematically
store in electronic or print form, all or any part of the Information or (ii) modify, publish, transmit, participate in
the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way
exploit all or any part of the Information (including use as part of any library, archive or similar service) without
the prior written consent of EIU. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Users may use small parts of the Information
for their own research and publication of such research, so long as they always include EIU's copyright notices.
Any use of the Information not specifically permitted by this Section 1 is · expressly prohibited. Requests for
permission for other uses may be sent to Lisa Hennessey, Global Director Client Services and Content

lisahennessey@economist.com, and may be subject to a fee."
